Here on this page you will find instruments from my collection that are duplicates of ones's I already have, or ones's that are no longer being played. All of the following instruments have been lovingly cared for and maintained - they just need to find new owners that will love and play them.
The condition of each instrument will range from excellent (nearly new) to fair (some cosmetic defects or noticable repairs, but generally servicable). I will try and describe each instrument as completely as possible. Please note: All instruments on this page are complete and set-up to play. Woodwind reed instruments in most cases can be supplied with extra reeds for an additional cost. All prices given are in U.S. dollars and do not include shipping or insurance. Highland small pipe or Parlour pipes - mouth-blown in the key of Bb with a cylindrical bore
chanter, and one bass and two tenor drones tuned to the chanter's key note. Made of rosewood
with imitation ivory mounts, with a cowhide bag, and with a wool Royal Stewart tartan bagcover and cords
by unknown. Comes fully reeded and setup ready to play.

Swedish säckpipa of the Dalarna region. This set, modeled after the original Leif Eriksson recreation, comes with two
interchangeable, single cane-reed, cylindrical-bore chanters. The shorter chanter (shown) has a one octave range from (e - e') with the keynote of
(a) in the middle. Its scale is basically A-minor with raised 6th and 7th steps. The lowest hole produces a leading (d) note when covered. This
chanter also has a lower (right hand) thumb hole which plays a g-natural when uncovered. The longer, alternate chanter (not shown) has a
one-octave range of (d - d') and can play D/G major scales (g-note in the middle). The lowest hole gives a leading tone of c-natural when
covered. The two-piece tunable cylindrical-bore, cane-reed drone with two lateral tuning holes can be tuned to the 'A' chanter's dominate (e) or leading
note (d) with the 1st lateral hole plugged. Or, it can tuned to that of the 'G' chanter's (d), or leading (c) tone (with the 1st hole plugged).
Made of cherry with a sewn cowhide bag by Alan. In "like new" set-up to play condition.Price: $800.00 ($1020.00 elsewhere)
Turkish Tulum - Double chanter uses single cane reeds and comes with a carved wooden yoke and bell and "lucky charms" - unknown maker.
Has an untanned goatskin bag, wood blowpipe stock with cane blowpipe and an "evil spirits" dispelling mirror. Excellent playing condition. To

Hohner "Overture IV" - 2-1/2 row Club system diatonic in the keys of C/F with 30 treble
(inside "1/2 row" buttons are all accidental notes) and 10 bass buttons. Treble side: 4 reeds per note
(3 tuned musette, and 1 low octave), with 7 register switches (reed couplers). Bass side: 5 reed -
2 reeds per note in octaves for basses with switch for low bass cutout, and 1 reed per note of chord. The
2 outside buttons play C7 and G7 chords. Italian-style black celluloid case and keyboard, with chrome
grill and white plastic buttons. Made by Hohner of Germany. In tune and in excellent condition. Comes with
new black leather Italian-made padded straps and its original grey-colored Hohner case. This accordion is awesome!
It's the perfect accordion for your German or Polish polka band.
One of these was recently listed on eBay in Germany for $1100.00!

Cuica - Afro-Brazilian stick-friction drum (see a complete discription/explanation here).
Has a stoneware shell that incorporates holes in its bottom rim for the pupose of "rope-tensioning" (tuning) the head by
sliding leather "buffs" along the ropes to tighten or loosen the skin. The head is made from quality goatskin with a
stiched-in hoop. The stick is tied to the head and protrudes down inside the shell. You can see this (and the inside of
the cuica) by clicking here. Dimensions: 8-1/2 inches diameter, 6-1/2 inches high.
Note: This is a new, unplayed instrument.
