Introduction
The accordions depicted/described on this page differ from the the more familiar piano-keyed
accordion in that they are bisonorous, that is, they sound two different notes or chords (bass
side) for each button pressed determined by the bellows direction.
Hohner "Corso" - 2 row diatonic in the keys of G/C with 21 treble and 8 bass buttons. Treble
side: 3 reeds per note tuned musette. Bass side: 5 reed - 2 reeds per note in octaves for
basses, and 1 per note of chord. Italian syle red "pearloid" case and keyboard top, with chrome grill.

Paolo Soprani - 2 row diatonic in the keys of D/G with 21 treble and 8 bass buttons.
Treble side: 3 reeds per note (2 reeds tuned unison, 1 low octave), with 2 register switches (couplers).
Bass side: 4 reed - 1 reed per bass note, and 1 per note of chord. Italian syle black celluloid case,

Hohner "Overture" - 2-1/2 row Club system diatonic in the keys of C/F with 30 treble
(inside "1/2 row" buttons are all accidental notes) and 10 bass buttons. Treble side: 4 reeds per note
(3 tuned musette, and 1 low octave), with 7 register switches (couplers). Bass side: 5 reed -
2 reeds per note in octaves for basses with switch for low bass cutout, and 1 per note of chord. The
2 outside buttons play C7 and G7 chords. Italian syle black celluloid case and keyboard, with chrome
grill and white plastic buttons. Made by Hohner of Germany. (This accordion is an awesome, but
heavy!)

Delicia "Favorit III" - Bohemian system 3 row diatonic in the keys of G/C/F with 37 treble and
12 bass buttons. Treble side: 3 reeds per note tuned musette. Bass side: 5 reed - 2 reeds per
note in octaves with one a Helicon-style double-bass for basses, and 1 reed per note of chord.
Red "pearloid" Italian-style case, keyboard and grill with chrome insert, and with white plastic keys.

buttons. Treble side: 2 reeds per note tuned unison. Bass side: 5 reeds - 2 reeds per note in octaves
for basses, and 1 per note of chord. Black/gold floral motif wood case with "pokerwork" chrome grill,
and black plastic keyboard with white plastic keys. Made by Hohner of Germany. Note: This is actually
my wife's accordion. It is included here as an example of a more traditional-looking contemporary
instrument.
